What's The Big Idea? MENTORING! It's a simple concept - match one adult with one child, and the results are BIG! By providing a mentor for every child who needs or wants one, Big Brothers Big Sisters is creating a promising future for our youth and our community. That's The Big Idea!
Join us on Friday, June 9th for The Big Idea Gala in celebration of mentoring and the impact of Big Brothers Big Sisters in our communities.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and will feature live music and a silent auction, followed by dinner and a program to recognize our honorees and Bigs and Littles of the Year! A live auction will feature the opportunity to "Make-A-Match" where attendees can pledge the cost of matching a child with a caring, adult mentor and for professional supervision of the match for the first year. The Big Idea Gala will be followed by The After Party at Bar Bella to keep the fun going in style!

The After Party at Bar Bella will be open to all guests. Select sponsors will receive VIP bracelets and reserved seating. VIP bracelets can be purchased, or a cash bar will be available. Light snacks will be provided.

HONORING
BMW of North America has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey since 2018 on a Workplace Mentoring Program in which children from a local school are bussed to the corporate headquarters twice a month. BMW employees are paired with a student to mentor, talk about life, and participate in activities facilitated by Big Brothers Big Sisters staff. BMW of North America’s dedication to the BBBS mission and empowering their employees to mentor local children in the Workplace Program is why they are being honored.
BMW Group in the United States seeks to drive change and inspire its customers and employees through activations and collaborations with a wide range of organizations – both public and private – which strive to create a meaningful impact on society. The focus of the company’s corporate citizenship initiatives is to contribute to achieving better living conditions, creating educational opportunities, and fostering a greater intercultural understanding for all.
Tom DeFelice III, Circle BMW
Tom DeFelice III is the Center Operator of Circle BMW, a local family-owned business for over forty years. He also serves as its Vice President and General Counsel. The DeFelice family have been long-time supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey as well as many other non-profit organizations.
A fourth-generation Monmouth County resident, Tom has spent most of his life living and working in the area. He is a graduate of St. Leo’s and Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, as well as Boston College and Seton Hall University Law School. He is being honored for his dedication to the community he lives and works in and to the mission of BBBS.
Catherine D. Franzoni, Manasquan Bank
Catherine D. Franzoni is the Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Manasquan Bank, a position she has held since May 2018. A highly respected business executive, she has more than 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry.
A dedicated leader, Catherine is the treasurer on the Board of Trustees for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal and Northern New Jersey, a Trustee on Manasquan Bank’s Charitable Foundation, and a board member for several other local organizations. Catherine volunteers her time at events for local charities including Coastal Habitat for Humanity’s home builds and at Fulfill of Ocean and Monmouth Counties. Catherine is being honored for her dedication to the BBBS mission and her service on the Board of Trustees for many years.
