Matches are created based on the Littles' needs, and the interests, personalities, and preferences of both the Big and Little.
SUPPORT THE MATCH
Big Brothers Big Sisters provides professional guidance for the Big, Little, and parent/guardian ensuring the match can grow and thrive. A strong match means a Big can offer their Little advice, encouragement, and a safe space to talk. It also means the Big can share new experiences with their Little and model positive behaviors.BE CONSISTENT
At eight years old, Little Sister Eleanor was matched with her Big Sister Sandy. From day one, Sandy took the importance of consistency very seriously, never losing touch with Eleanor and her family. Eleanor graduated high school just two days after their 10-year match anniversary and plans to continue her education. Eleanor recently shared that her Big, "exceeds all expectations of what a person should be. She's just an amazing person and has changed my life in a great way."
