Being a Big Sister for BBBS has been such a truly incredible experience. My little and I meet 3-4 times a month sometimes just to grab dinner together and talk or we will adventure out into the community. A couple of weeks ago we explored Grounds for Sculpture and my Little had her first ever mustard pie from Papa's Tomato Pies in Robbinsville (she was impressed haha). The most impactful times that we have together are in the car rides. She tells me about her day at school, drama with her friends, a new song that she wants me to hear, and sometimes just the silence means more thananything. The support from BBBS has been incredible. Both my Little and I connect with our case worker constantly & I am always getting emails about fun events the community is donating to BBBS (like the cooking class my Little and I went to).
