Samantha and Alana met in 2012 when they were perfectly matched up in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth County. Over the years, they developed a flourishing relationship and shared many joyous moments together such as seeing Wicked on Broadway, white water rafting, blueberry picking, Carlos' cake decorating, and much more. Their greatest moment was in 2017 when Alana and Sam won together the Big Sister of the Year Award for the County and State!!! They continue to spend time together although Alana is now 19 (soon to be 20!) and no longer part of BBBS. They both want to continue to give back to this wonderful organization and look forward to the Bowl for a Kids Sake!
