A Message From 365 Things to do on the Jersey Shore
365 Things to do on the Jersey Shore supports Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties! BBBSMMC served 648 children in 2015 through 1:1 mentoring! This includes 396 children served through our 6 School Based Programs and 4 Beyond School Walls Programs. 19 Kids Club events were held with 592 attendees and 76 donated sporting and event tickets were enjoyed by Bigs & Littles. BBBSMMC hosted 5 special events supported by over 1,500 attendees. 693 volunteers logged an extraordinary 41,500 hours providing mentoring, organizing events, and serving as Board and committee members. 3.71 years is the average length of a Big-Little Match in our Community Based Program! Below please find the statistics proving BBBS is making a difference: 85% improved or stayed the same in their feelings of scholastic competency 93% believe they will graduate high school 99% arrest reported that they had not been arrested for a crime, offense, or violation 87% believe that they will go onto and graduate from college 97% were competent in avoiding risky behaviors like tobacco, drugs and alcohol use 86% felt confident in their social acceptance.
